With over 25 years of engagement as executive director, instructor, advisor and volunteer in and for the civil society sector at national and international level, Gerasimos identifies himself as people-oriented, value-driven change maker and life-long learner. Under his leadership in the last 16 years, ActionAid Hellas passed through an organizational transformation and received several national and international recognitions for its social impact and management practices including the Best Workplace 2013 and 2015 award. As an instructor, Gerasimos has designed and delivered several leadership development and management capacity building programs in Greece and abroad for diverse audiences including university post-graduate students, public officials, corporate professionals, social entrepreneurs, and NGO senior staff.
Gerasimos brings into leadership, consulting and teaching, his scientific and artistic background along with his long professional experience. He is a PhD in Management candidate, holds an MBA and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees, while he has also studied Opera, performed as member of the Greek State Radio Choir for 10 years, and is an internationally awarded photographer and poetry writer. Among other volunteer roles, he is a team member of the World Human Forum, member of the BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Network and coordinator of the Inner Development Goals Hellenic Hub.
